    London?

    Hi,

Is there a London user group?  If there's not one already, would anyone be interested in having one?

    adios,

If there were, I'd probably fly over there for a day to attend, if schedules would allow it.

    Re: London?

My home is in the UK but I'm abroad most of the time. But yes, I'd be very interested in a user group in London.

As a side note am hoping to be back in the UK for June, so it would be great if there was a meeting around that time.

    Re: London?

I have been in touch with several people wanting to get a user group going again in the UK.  There is a lot of interest and have talked about having 4 meetings a year to start out.  Charles Frater has volunteered to get the group going and we have talked about holding the first meeting at the Creative Learning Lab at Westminster Kingsway College.

The new user group forum is a good start and on Monday we will be launching a new User Group Community site and we can setup a section for the London group where you can sign in and join the group.

You can also email Charles Frater and let him know that you are interested in helping out.

    Re: London?

Hi, just wondering if there have been any developments on this as I was in the same situ as Carl but haven't found Charles' email.

I'm guessing these are early days so for now I'll be patient but am keen to be involved and so would like to hear more.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

No news.  Brenda sent me Charles' email, and I emailed him for more information, but haven't heard anything back.  If I hear anything I'll post back here.

    Re: London?

     Hi all,

Charles Frater got in touch with me today, and it sounds like we could be up and running in the next month or so.

Obviously the new Avid software and hardware are on the agenda, but what other topics would be of interest?  It can be anything film & video related.  Post back on this thread with ideas for topics you'd like to see covered at a user group meeting.

    adios,
    Carl

Did this ever happen?  I'd be very interested in joining and have a couple of friends who'd probably like to come along as well.
