Forgive me if this has been asked already, is there going to be an upgrade path from MC Meridian to any DX product line.

I think some resellers will give you a "trade-in" discount. Wouldn't expect it to be more than a few K, though.

I wouldn't expect much since Meridien is EOL and the hardware is getting old

Interesting thing about trade ins. The last offer I saw equated to 2 days charge out rate for the old system.  Given that sort of offer the old system stays here as it is with at least 3 years of productive life left in it. (and many more as an offline.)

I have thought about that, we have 2 systems we still use regularly to cut & finish edit on. The editors are starting to complain about the rendering speeds. They have used our Adrenaline and really have fell in love with the speed. Also we are doing so much HD work now.

I wouldn't expect more than $2K toward a MC with Nitris DX.

MC/Nitris DX is $12,500 with a Meridien trade-in.  You're getting $2,500 for your Meridien.

As you will need new CPU's etc for DX keeping a working Meridian would seem to be a better option than a $2,5K trade in.

With a similar trade in offer seemingly in the wings for a 4 year old $35K HD Adrenaline its a no brainer that this one wont be traded in.

Yep, no trade in on the adrenline. We are going to use it until it dies. We are going to buy a MC Nitris DX regardless.

I have heard of extremely attractive trade-in prices from MCA to Symphony Nitris DX. Ask your reseller.
