Anyone know if it is a problem to put the 1.25TB, 5 drive, Video RAID in a horizontal position instead of the vertical orientation? Doesn't seem like it would be a problem, but stranger things have been true!

Nope, not an issue. Only thing is to put the little rubber feet that came with it on the bottom. There are indentations for where they go. Had mine upright for a long time, till i got a nice new rack in the suite:)
