The AMD chips aren't qualified, but they may work, and the Intel chip might work if it's fast enough.  Take a look at the System Requirements Page for details.

Processors on the qualified list are processors that Avid has tested, and they are guaranteed to work.

Processors that are not on the list may work, but Avid has not tested them, and there is no guarantee that they will work.

Some people have had success with the GeForce 8400, but it is not on the qualified list, so there is no guarantee it will work.

i have an intel duo core processor and it works fine

I know there is not on the qualified list but what is better between:

_Intel Pentium Dual Core T2370 and Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 ?

_Nvidia GeForce 8400 M (256 Mo) and Nvidia GeForce 8600 M GY

 Nvidia 8600 is faster but you need to try to see which is better
