    Download via FTP?

Is there a way to download MC 2.8.3 via FTP?  I left it running over night and wound up with an 817MB file that doesn't open instead of the 1GB it supposed to be.

I'd really rather just resume the download and try that, rather than wasting my time and bandwidth re-downloading 800+MB in addition.

Sorry, no. It's only available in the download center now.

Do you need a support contract for the download center ?

I filled out the registration but didn't get an answer, yet.

same here.... I must say that in the guise of making things simpler things have become more complicated and less efficient.  The FTP system for CPRs was an easy way to get these bug-fix point releases - straightforward and no waiting.  I certainly had no issue with it and it was clear...  major releases from the download center and fixes from the FTP.   As with these forums (certainly prettier but in my opinion no more functional - we've even lost certain functionalities) - if it ain't broke don't fix it....

Unfortunately Avid has to do all of these registrations by hand (Why? ...don't ask me). They are really backed up. Give it a couple of days  but if you still can't get in, Marianna posted this:
