Decided it's finally time to replace the Roland MA 20 speakers I got with my very first Avid (too many) years ago...
(Had enough of composers coming in to my edit and complaining!)
Any suggestions? Genelec seem to be fairly common... don't want to spend more than a couple of hundred pounds ideally. Can I get an improvement on the Rolands for that money?
Thanks for any ideas!
I've got the KRK Systems "Rokit 5's." Here's a page with several Rokits, including a sub: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/navigation?q=rokit
I love the Rokit 5s! They're not that big, but they pack quite a punch at 75 watts each. They sound great, too! If you need more power, go for the Rokit 6. The great thing about the Rokit 5 is they're only $99 (USD) each, so it's a great buy!
Hope this helps!

Yes I heard that KRK is a contender....
Anyone else? What about the Mackie MR5s? Significant improvement on the old Rolands?
I personally find the KRK speakers are not flat enough....they tend to be a little bassy.
I have KRK ROKIT 6 speakers at work, but at home I have Wharfedale Pro Diamond active speakers and find them to be better for mixing.

I love my Event TR6s. Biamped, very flat response.
