Hi there

Trying to run HDCAM SR material captured at DNX HD 185x, and am getting dotted lines under the timeline suggesting my system is struggling.  I've only got 2GB RAM - is it a dead cert that adding another GB would improve this performance?

 For Media Composer, 2 gigs of RAM is required, 3 is recommended. When we upped our HP platforms from 2 to 3 gigs, we saw a significant across the board improvement in system performance and response time.

 Your media drives need to be fast enough too (min. 2 fast drives in a RAID 0 config.) and make sure that you dont use the system drive as your media drive.
