I just upgraded to 10.4.11.  I am still on QT 7.3.0 and XPress pro 5.8.  When I was on 10.4.10  I had NO problems.  I have no idea why I uprgraded! So here is my problem.  The computer keeps freezing up on me and I am getting the pinwheel!  I have no idea how to fix this.  Does anyone know if the 5.8.3 patch help fix this.  If so I looked into the download and I can not figure out where to get?

have you tried repairing disk permissions since the upgrade?

No, how do I do that?

In Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.  Choose your Mac hard drive and repair disk permisions

You need to upgrade your QT and your  version of Avid. 

x.8.3 added support for 10.4.11 and QT 7.4.1.

Go to the download center, register for a password and download the update.

I did it, and yes it did repair some files.  However, just started Xpress pro and went to play and yet a gain it starts snad then I get the pinwheel.

I tried to get a download password/useername.  However, I have not recieved anything back from avid.  I have checked my spam etc...  Is there another place that I can go to download .8.3?

It takes a while. They are entering this registration info by hand so be a little patient. IF you don't hear anything in a couple of days, check back.
