Hi,
I'm trying to import an OMF generated in ProTools and I get the following message:
Exception: omf2Domain_INIT_FAILED__BAD_MEDIA_DB?, file::<file_name>In "more details" it says:Exception: FILE_OTHER, filename:<filename>Exception: SYS_ERROR, status:1450, msg:Insufficient system resources to complete the requested service
My system is a Media Composer 2.7.2 for Windows XP running on a HPWorkstation 8400 2GB RAM
Any ideas?
What I've tested so far:
- Embedding and no embedding media files.
Embedding returns the previous message.
No embedding builds a offline timeline, but need to relink media and the file names doesn't macht the media name in project.
Thanks!!!
I'm sure you've checked this, but when exporting OMF from Pro Tools there is an Avid compatibility tick box which must be selected, due to the sample editing capabilities of Pro Tools. Not entirely sure how this works but I think it pads out the audio files to frame boundaries. On import you'll get a lot of 1 frame clips, called Sample something. Also try using AAF export out of Pro Tools, with Avid compatibility selected.
