If you have been denied access to the Download Center once you have filled out the Download Cneter request form located here http://www.avid.com/support/downloadcenter/accountRequest.asp. please make sure that your product is registered first. Several folks that have emailed me over the past few days didnt have their product registered which is why they were denied access.
A Download Center account can only be created if you have registered your product and then filled out the form.
Again, If you have already registered make sure you’ve requested a Download Center account by filling out the Download Center Registration form found here:
http://www.avid.com/support/downloadcenter/accountRequest.asp.
If you have completed the above steps and have been denied access, write (or forward your denial) to downloadhelp@avid.com, subject line "Avid Download Center Access Denied...".
Please make sure to include:
Company Name
Address
City
State/Region
Country
Postal Code
Contact First Name
Contact Last Name
E-mail
System ID(s)
All submissions will be processed within 1 business day.
Do not just send an email t downloadhelp@avid.com. Only do so if you filled out the required form and were denied.

Did you both fill out the download center registration form and send it in? If so, and you were denied most likey through Europe, then you need to fill it out again ( sorry :() and you will get acccess this time.
Apologies but there was a slight disconnect between Avid Corporate and the other ESD managers in Europe and Asia/Pac.
Again my apologies. If you do fill out the form and do NOT get a response in 24 hours, email me and I will have it done manually for you.
I filled it out again receiived an email saying I'd get a new password. I'll fill it out again it's not like it takes hours to do.

I followed the procedure above and received an email stating that we cannot have a log in due to no support contract. They provided a link to download the CPR via digidelivery......
Is this what is meant to happen, I was expecting to receive a log in? Surely I don't need to chase each CPR personally and be provided an email typed manually to give me a link for a CPR?
Hi Marianna. I filled in the registration form once before you made this announcement, and then again immediately after reading this announcement.
I have had no correspondence from Avid, not so much as an e-mail saying my registration was even being processed.
As an Academic user, will I eventually be able to download the 5.8.3 Xpress update? I know there's stuff going on behind the scenes in connection with the download area, but I've never had this much bother gaining access to an update before.
Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

What email address are you at.......... please send me an email with your system ID and the email address you used. Can not fnd a product registered at Avid under your email that you used for the forum.
Tryng to help but lost.
I registered and they sent me a reply which stated that their records indicates that my system ID is registered to Reseller Name: MICRO - PACE, INC. It has my system listed as an Xpress DV. My system is an Xpress Studio Essential and was registered as such.

Something must be seriously off with the database. Can you send me your system ID and Dongle ID to my email address and I will attempt to straighten it out.

My password came through today... no need to panic, I guess there's just a bit of a backlog.
