how can i actvate my mpeg 2 exporting format for avid symphony meridien

its showing check the console

Hi,

I don't think a Meridien Symphony is capable of exporting an MPEG2 file. You'll have to export a Quicktime file and convert it to MPEG2 with a third party encoder.

I don't know of any Real Avid product that does...

Older systems did, We had an Xpress Meridien version, (I guess it was 4.5) which had the mpeg2 export feature, but quality was rather crappy.

This note in the Knowledge Base always fixed my mpeg2 export with Xpress Meridien. Will it maybe also work on old Symphony systems?
