OK I read that FAQ thing twice. I read the tech specs and I still dont get it. So here they are. Perhaps AVID could post something like these too?
1) What do the MOJO DX and NITRIS DX connect to the PC with? Do we have a choice? FW or PCI card or both? The sentences avid explains with are so packed with jargon and bad grammar that even after 10 years around avids I cant understand them
2) Does the RS422 connect to the machine from the MOJO DX or NITRIS DX ... OR from the PC?
3) Do either of these boxes support any kind of HDCAM? And are they HD ready (not necessarily HDCAM --just any HD format) or are we spending more on an HD card?
4) Can we fully native ingest and output of DVCPRO100 via HD SDI in and out of other box?
5) Can I do real time client monitor viewing of the sequence in HD via SDI? I dont know what a non-full-raster-HD-codec means.
6) I understand we can output an SD signal via a composite (or SDI?) BNC on the MOJO or NITRIS box. Is this a Downconvert the box is doing for us? Are there multiple options for this? Can we upres on import too? Only down? Can we down-convert to component? up and down to FW?
Respectfully, AVID might consider having a better ad/print agency do their brochures.

The DX card is PCIe no more FW
Guywithcat:2) Does the RS422 connect to the machine from the MOJO DX or NITRIS DX ... OR from the PC?
You can do either now.
Guywithcat:3) Do either of these boxes support any kind of HDCAM? And are they HD ready (not necessarily HDCAM --just any HD format) or are we spending more on an HD card?
Both will support any raster of HD thin or standard.
Guywithcat:4) Can we fully native ingest and output of DVCPRO100 via HD SDI in and out of other box?
Yes
Guywithcat:5) Can I do real time client monitor viewing of the sequence in HD via SDI? I dont know what a non-full-raster-HD-codec means.
I know you can with the Nitris (composite too). So I assume the Mojo can via SDI.

Don't know about FW but you can down-convert RT to letterbox or Anamorphic output in Composite, Component or SDI in 1080 or 720.

Doesn't matter who does anyones brochures, someone will always have disconnects based education and past experiences.
Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

Guy, I agree that the descriptions of the hardware are somewhat confusing. In particular I'm confused about the difference between the two units - both appear to playout and ingest DnxHD, I'm assuming the NitrisDX will handle the processing of multiple streams DnxHD whereas the MojoDX will be relying on your computer processing power to do this.
I've attempted to answer some of your questions below but others may do better..
Guywithcat: 1) What do the MOJO DX and NITRIS DX connect to the PC with? Do we have a choice? FW or PCI card or both? The sentences avid explains with are so packed with jargon and bad grammar that even after 10 years around avids I cant understand them
They connect via a PCIe connection (not FW). A lot of modern hardware like Blackmagic Decklink etc use the PCIe interface (a PCIEe card) and a snake cable to connect to the hardware. I assume that is what Avid is doing, although it might be helpful to know how many lanes you need on the PCIe buss to support it.
Guywithcat: 3) Do either of these boxes support any kind of HDCAM? And are they HD ready (not necessarily HDCAM --just any HD format) or are we spending more on an HD card?
They both have HD-SDI I/O although I'm not sure from reading the specs if either has dual link HD-SDI for HDCAM-SR. So the short answer is yes.
I think what they are saying here is that you can monitor any HD sequence, even those that use non full raster codecs. A non full raster codec would include HDV1080i which is 1440 x 1080 - that means the hardware will resize it to 1920 x 1080 on the fly. can anyone confirm this?
Guywithcat: Can we upres on import too?
Can we upres on import too?
I also pose this question !
Can Mojo DX or Nitris do a correct up rez job ?
