    Segmentation Fault error?

So i just got my academic version of Avid Media Composer. But after I install it every time i try to start it up i get this message that reads: "Segmentation fault" in thread "MainThread", at address 0X0... and then I get a MAC OSX system message that tells me that the Application has unexpectedly quit.. Why is this? Im running Tiger 10.4.11 and Avid Media Composer 2.8

any help would be appreciated! thank you!

What are your CPU specs? What version of QT and what else do you have attached to the system?

Did yo install the software in a user with Admin privileges?

Ok, that's a Macbook. The Avid software is not qualified to run on it.

However, if you hold down the G+O keys when launching, it may start up.

    Re: Segmentation Fault error?

Absolutely. You can even use it on a PC if you are inclined to.

The only thing you are going to lack using this method is any 3D effects as you have turned them off with that launch modifier.
