Hello all!
I'm on a Symphony 4.8 on Windows 2000. I'm trying to export an embedded OMF file with all the trimmings of a 30 second commercial. I digitized this one at 1:1 so it's much larger than other OMFs I've successfully exported. I'm getting a Symphony error (not a Windows error) stating that it excedes the 2 GB file-size limit. My IT guy says it seems to be in Avid and not Windows... so, is there anyway to set the limit higher or get rid of it all together?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd really like to archive this project.
Thanks, dave
Can you try exporting as an AAF? I don't think AAFs have a 2 gig limit.
Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

Or break the sequence up into smaller chucks and output separate OMF files.
AAF with embedded media also has the 2 GIG file limit. Almost like we're all still on Mac os 7.6
