    Editing P2 Files from Drive

Is there any reason I absolutely have to do a full import of P2 media files? Can I simply import the "Clips to Bin" and edit from there instead of waiting for them to import transcode?

    Thanks!

If they get unlinked, you can't relink.

LOL. Well, that's a good reason. Thanks.

The P2 media isn't transcoded when its imported into the Avid, a consolidate is performed.
