Hi I'm working on a project shot on 25p, the purpose is to be broadcasted on tv from a digi beta, The client wants to on line on 25p, is it worth doing the on line 25p or the result will be the same if we did it in 25i? I m not very familiar with p project.

The Hd tapes were shot on variable speed panasonic, passed through a frame converter and transfered to digi tapes.

I am in NTSC land so I can't really comment about 25i vs 25p, but I do know Digibeta is an interlaced format.

So you have progressive footage Xferd to an interlaced tape.. they are still progressive tho, now just split in two feilds...

But i don't see any gain in setting up a  25P/625/YUV project for this as your final deliverable is interlaced... are you not best off seeing the final deliverable on your mon while working & QC'n?

25p will look like film in your country. It's really no difference than interlaced video projects, save the end result will be progressively-scanned at 25 frames per second and there will be no fields. In countries that produce using PAL, interlace means you actually have fifty fields per second, each field making up half of a frame. But you're still dealing with a frame base of 25.

Simply make your project settings 25 Progressive and edit normally. If you have to create interlace, you can do that when you're done with the project.

You may have issues with rolling credits with progressive frame video. You should take a look at the DS-List's Wiki and click on "Constructing Credit Rolls without artifacts."

You should be aware that motion blur on DVE moves makes them look nicer.
