Thanks very much Sep. I'm hoping I'll understand the progression of the programmes a lot more by going back to the earlier versions.
I hate television. I hate it as much as I hate peanuts. But I can't stop eating peanuts.
Orson Welles (1915 - 1985)

Yes I was very fortunate to have a friend send over a set from a hire company. It won't dig on to a lacie which I guess is due to it being USB1 ????? but it works internally and on to a seperate SCSI. The hard disc is 18 Gb which made me chuckle.
The hard drive isn't showing any signs of a problem at all and nobody remembers why it ended up in a cupboard other than the blue screen.
I now have the issue of not being able to connect it to the ISIS and none of the editors wanting to use it as "it's not Adrenaline" but I got to play around with it and that was quite different from previous installs.
The discs were for version 12.0.8 so it's very similar to our Symphonies. I will suggest we use it for training of junior staff and freebies if nothing else and if nobody is interested I'll take it home as I dfon't have Avid at home like most of my friends do.

18Gb, was quite a "big" HDD, when you went from an ABVB system to a Meridien, ABVB Powermac 9600 had a 4Gb internal HDD.
I have a pile of 9Gb SCSIs in our store room it's crazy. I also have a pile of quad striped 146 Gbs not being used as we now have an ISIS.
146Gb SCSI disks may be merchantable on Ebay !
I will look in to that.
I'll have a meeting with our facilities manager Andrew and mail you back with possible costs.
Thanks
