real time effects and QT Ref

If I have real time color corrected shots and am going to output a quicktime ref for a Sorenson Squeeze MPEG 2 encode, do I need to render those shots before the QT ref?  Thanks, jdw

Well, yes and no. You don't have to hit the render in to out button but, on export, the system will render those effects for you.

Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

This is acutally the method I sometimes use to render a bunch of sequences at a time, export QT references of them which will render the needed fx.

    I'm a mad genuis LOL.

This method is especially handy when  you want to go for lunch but render different sequences at the same time :)
