    FW 800 PCI Express Card

    Hello all,

Been getting occasional sluggishness and flamethrower errors when my Mojo SDI is attached to my onboard 1394 on an xw9400. Having no PCI-X slots left to chuck a Pyro into, I got a Siig FW800/400 PCI Express Card which has a TI chipset. Obviously I know this is not supported.

It comes with Unibrain's 1394 drivers which I installed. When I use these, despite the fact that the mojo has a host light on it and appears correctly in Device Manager, MC does it see it. And when i use standard microsoft drivers, MC gives me the old 'A DV Device on the 1394 bus is causing problems' message in the record monitor. Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom?

    Ollie
