We just installed a new Avid Mojo SDI with an HP XW8200 workstation. For a moment we can open bins and playback just fine until Mojo was disconnected and had no more PB in client monitor. We could never digitize anything from HDV camera and keep having problems / disconnecting from HP and asking us to power cycle the MOJO. We have SCSI LVD (500G) drives connected in the back, a Lacie 500 GB in the front using USB connections, and the Mojo SDI connected via 1394 in the back of the HP. Both IO cables are connected into the SDI but only using component out to playback video in a PVMU14 monitor and from the same cable connecting reference work clock (alhought probably not the cause of everything but not the right place to connect the work clock cable?) to a small black Horita box for TC zinc (from this box also a BNC connected to reference in of the 14U monitor) and audio is just 1/2 outupt (1/8") connected to Yamaha audio mixer line in. And finally a DV cable out of DV (next to Host in back of Mojo) connected to a Sony HDV 1U sony camera. Before we connected the camera and right after installing the Mojo the monitor was able to playback video fine but not when choosing HDV. We fixed that (don't ask how) and after pluggin the HDV camera we get this errors and we have constantly power cycle the Mojo with no results:

Error in the composer window with black BG and in white reading: "A device on the 1394 bus causing Problems. -FTStavs Code-FT_LinkInitiazingFailed-Flamethrower Link Manager :: OpenLink Failed to create Link object.

Then we close this particular project (DV or HDV) and when opening a new project to see if there is a difference (we have DV and HDV projects, 24p, 30i, etc) we get this sign that says:

Avid Media Composer

Exception:DVAudio_Manager_LAVA_EXECUTE_ERROR

The HP Workstation has 2GB of RAM, is DUAL 3.8 and has worked just fine with AMC before this Mojo (no other Mojo). We need to be able to playback HDV and DV and IO material from this HDV camera and professional VTRs.....Do we need to do everything different? does it help to reinstall the HP XP professional (reinstall PC) and the AMC software?

Very little experience with SDI Mojo, but when capturing HDV on non-SDI Mojo one goes directly into the PC rather than via the DV input on the Mojo DNA. Within HDV project, make sure the button in the timeline that normally reads DNA reads 1394, although I suspect it'll do this automatically in an HDV project.
