hello -
i am trying to output to tape adrenaline-sony d-beta deck dvw500. I am getting no video and audio to tape when i record.
Seems like the digital cut tool with ins and outs is working perfectly for the insert. The tool is remotely controling the deck, recording on the in, playing thru the timeline to the markout and then stopping.
it just isnt recording to tape...i have all video tracks and audio tracks enabled. maybe a switch or setting i am missing on the sony deck?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.
as a random guess what format is your project set to? HD?
hmm...SD...at least it better be.
yeah, SD, im certain..30p
i just left the office, no longer in front of the computer...
what might you be thinking?
what are the specs on your MC? Do you have adrenaline or mojo
Oh sorry just re read thread you have adrenaline
its gotta be the stupiest thing. i striped the digi in the deck no problem...now trying to digital cut bars and tone on that same digi....the tool is working fine with deck, just no signal and no audio and no mage on the deck monitor except timcode displa
is therre a switch im missing on the deck that i gotta chance after i blacken the tape?
Do a video and audio mixdown then create a new sequence
How did you stripe the tape? are all the input lights for audio and video solid?
cool thanks. Ill try it when i wake up.
Thank You.
Hi,
Just a couple of random thoughts come to mind. Do you see the MC output on the deck monitor even when not trying to Digital Cut? Are the deck's inputs set correctly (i.e. if your MC output is SDI to the deck, do you have SDI selected on the deck)?
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
i knew it was something completely elementary....after another 3 hours of inspection, there is no cable coming into the deck from the avid.!!!!!! arrrrrrrrrrrgh
the cable out of the avid is going out, but it must be lost/tangled somewhere in the the cable-abyss jungle because its not coming into the digi deck...( i have 3 avid suites and i was trying to output an avid sequence into different room that has the digi deck.
the guys that put in the gear and wired it for us are gonna have to come out and find the lonely cable without a home.
once again...i thank all you guys for all your help.
