May be missing this but I could not pull myself away to Vegas and I'm a little impatient waiting for Marianna's post in the forums.

First off... Hi, I'm John... an Adrenaline user.  Picking my jaw off the ground for over a day now with latest DX announcements. 

Back to topic:  I've been holding off on upgrading my MC Soft dongles in anticipation something was up.  I see I can upgrade from 2.5 (currently running 2.6.5 I believe on laptop & desktops) to 2.8 for $295.  Bit bummed considering I upgraded from Xpress Pro to MCSoft for $2500 when I had the opportunity over a year ago.  No regrets there though being that I'm an MC guy and Xpress drove me crazy. 

So when is 3.0 actually going to be released and how much will the upgade path cost do you think?  Similar $295?  If I go 2.8 upgrade will the 3.0 be free?? Will they force me to re-up my assurance contract (which would really piss me off!)??? 

Also... what's the main differences with 3.0 & 2.8?    Vista compatible(and how's that going?)?  More codecs (like VC-1)?  More stability with P2?  I read the documentation but wanted to see what real skinny is.

Our Adrenalines are 2.8 so ScryptSync is a very nice fature.  Being sort of a HOG when it comes to editing I am very close to biting the bullet and going with 2.8 on my laptop for $295.  Should I wait and make due?  I'm in a period of time for 3-4 months I can wait for upgrade, run 2.6.X,  and utilize other resources in the meantime.

Leap now or wait 'til June/July???
