Well I brought the card reader then imported the footage only to find I could not play all the footage. I asked the camera person what they shot he said 50 720p. I tried to get the files in no luck bloody Avid I/he thought, I sought all the transcoding software I could find but no luck. I asked for the new thinking support and got MC 2.8.3 which I can't find here and it lets me play 720 1080 and SD all on the same timeline it can even handle 25p 720 but the real stunner was for me the camera person had actually shot so many different frame rates to get the right look, so when I asked what frame base he shot on he said 25 so be careful if someone says they shot 720/50 or 60 or what ever just make a project with the closest settings and import the clips 720/25p 1080/50p 1080/50i what ever seems to work but you do get warnings. by the way I am working in PAL so when 30 or 60 frms are mentioned I panic
Where did you get version 2.8.3?
