export from FCP to Avid Express pro PC

    Hi all.

I have a regular client who's supervising a project.  The editor who's laying it out is doing so on a Mac laptop using FCP.  The client's system is an Avid Xpress Pro (not at the computer, and so can't tell you specifics like version, etc).  The editor is working in, and they'll be finishing the program, in DV25 resolution.  My question has to do with exporting from FCP to the Avid.

    1) Is there a Mac Avid codec which the FCP guy can use to export Quicktimes for quick import to the Avid?

    2) does it support alpha channels?

    3) What about using the Animation codec?  I think thats what they used last time they tried this (I wasn't involved, so I'm just guessing here...)

    4) any practical suggestions?  They would be appreciated.
