Yes, I tried new user/project, and that didn't work.
I uninstalled, rebooted, installed, rebooted, and I keep getting the same message.
So something is preventing the title tool module from completing its save.
Hate to say this but, whenever I run into these sort of weird app problems in windows, I sort of take the "Swatting a Fly with an Elephant Gun" approach and wipe the HD, reinstall XP and then Reinstall the Avid.
It may sound extreme but usually takes less time that all of the troubleshooting it may take to find this issue.
Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

I only have 1 project, and a couple of OMF files. If I export the project, move all the OMF files to an external HD, can I import the project, and relink the OMFs once I've reinstalled XP and Avid?
Just copy the project folder out to a new drive. Are your OMFs on the internal HD?
Delete the database files...Avid will recreate them while searching and cataloging the OMF files on your drive(s).

Yes, OMF are on the internal.
Ok...well Robert is probably going to be the best one to advise you but, on our systems, we stayed away from writing OMF to the same HD as that on which the app was running.
Do you have an external drive?
(Blkdog is far more expert than I.)
Yeah...it is not recommended that you keep your media files on your system drive...
Also, fwiw, with OMF it is recommended that you partition the drives in smaller than 200 Gb partitions.
I have 2 internals. Program on 1 of them, and media is on the other.
Ok, so move the Project folder to your second internal.
Have you checked to be sure you have the correct read/write permissions on your second internal drive?
If so, then wipe the HD that contains XP, reload XP and JUST the Avid software. See if the problem clears up.
