Any Media Composer Software customer or Media Composer Adrenaline customer can buy v3.0 as a shipping kit $495 US MSRP( no downlaods).

 As for support - I haven't delved into the pricing yet but I do know some good stuff like........

Customers now in the Americas and Asia Pacific, will get hardware support as part of standard Avid Assurance Support contracts.* This level of support used to be available only if a customer purchased an extended hardware warranty for $$$$$  :) . We’ve wrapped this support into Avid Assurance contracts to help our customers save time and money and get more for their dollar.

They are adding things like Technical Alerts, where Avid proactively emails Assurance customers on potential issues, symptoms and resolutions.  And... they are instigating QuickTip Webinars...monthly sessions to learn tips and techncial procedures from Avid. 

Also they are now offering a 15% discount of you buy Assurance and the product at the same time.  

As I get my head around all the new changes, I'll keep you posted.   If anyone wants to provide any feedback, please send an email to Carolyn_Ricciardi@avid.com.

Any word on hardware upgrade paths? i.e. (I still have one gathering dust) Meridian box > DX (Mojo or Nitris)? or Mojo / Mojo SDI > DX (Mojo or Nitris)? 

I've seen 15% discount for a meridian system, and 40% discount for an Adrenaline. This s for symphony Nitris DX.

MC previous to MC 2.7 to MC3  $395 Software only and not available to MCA plus big red warning no third party software

MCA any version to MC3  $495  and NO warning about third party software updates not being included. But NOT saying they are included either.

Is that 15% off the price of the DX series for a meridian system? I thought there was going to be some form of upgrade path for Mojo and Mojo SDI users - considering that a large portion of those upgrading are going from EOL Xpress to MCsoft.

This sounds very good for non-Adreneline types like me. But, the download specifies 2.7 to 3.0. Should I assume this means 2.8.x versions also?

The $295 download is non-refundable, so I don't want to find out that versions after 2.7 don't qualify for this download.

Anybody have any info about this.

It means any version, 2.7 or higher, to 3.0.
