So I just finished setting up a new MC suite and I'm trying to get it on our unity. I created a new user in Unity Admin, (Avid2) but when I try to connect Avid2 using the new username and password I get the message:
"Avid2" is not a valid Unity user, does not have access to any workspaces, or does not have a domain user account which matches the Unity user name. Please use a valid Unity user name with workspace access to log in.
When I created "Avid2" on Unity, i gave it read/write to all our workspaces. I have tried deleting the user and creating it again incase I spelled something wrong or used caps or something, still won't connect.
I know I have a solid connection to unity though, because if I go to "Change User" in the connection manager on my Avid 2, and change to "Avid5", one of our other ethernet connected avids, I get full access to all the workspaces, no problem.
Am I missing a step when creating a new user in Unity?
Anyone had this happen? Any suggestions?
Did you add the user to your Windows user list?

Ooo! I did miss something!
How do I do this?
Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Local Users and Groups -> Right Click Users -> New User -> put info + Uncheck "User Must change..." + check "password never expires" etc.
Great! Thank You!
I'm all shut down for the day, but I will try that first thing in the morning.
I appreciate the help!
Start Menu>program files>System Tools (or Admin, im at home, not in front of wser 2k.)> server management. Its under user management. Add a new user will full access.
I think you can get to it too by right clicking My Computer on the desktop, go to manage, and to user managment that way too.
EDIT - I posted and saw Dom had beet me! Nice!! Good to see we were on the same page:)
