My mac was crashing constantly, so I got fed up and decided to wipe out my hard drive (but not before transfering all my avid files over to an avid media doc 320. I reloaded the software (o.s. 10.4) and fired up my avid drives after everything was bck up and running. The drives were not recognized by my mac now. Of course, my whole project is on the ultra 320 drives as well as all the captured footage. I downloaded the latest atto configuration tools and launched them. Still no luck in getting the computer to recognize the drives. Need some advice on getting the drives up and running and recognized without losing everything I've done for the past two months.
Needless to say, a radical solution that won't be repeated. Thanks.
Time heals everything.
Worked it out ... stayed late and reinstalled avid software, downloaded from ATTO web site. Lots of pain ... but I've got it back. whew.
