Got a client that has a bunch of Meridien based OMF media and has started using it on his 2.8 MC Mac (OS10.4.10 pretty sure they have QT 7.2) with SDI Mojo...
Problem is they are getting a color shift on their old media. Even what they were using for bars before. If they bring those bars in at RGB they're fine - but NOT at 601, and all the media has this exact same shift.
Just wondering if there's a color shift issue in 2.8 that I was unaware of?
It's not a mojo 8-bit 10 bit issue?
If they export and import avid bars at 601 it's fine but any previous media they get a color shift....
There is. Bring your stuff in at RGB and not 601.

thanks blkdog... what do you mean there is?
There is a bug?
This is all media that we created on meridien's (no longer functional machines) and moved into the OMF folder... how else can I bring that in?
How would I bring it in at RGB?
TIA
Seems to be a bug in the codec. Marianna thinks it may be fixed in the next release. She's checking on it now.
Hey Blkdog, can you elaborate on this bug a little further? Does this apply to older Meridien OMF media or media in general?
Yes Please... elaborate. What can I tell this customer to do with ALL their existing Meridien Based OMF Media?
This bug only affects 601 imports right now. Marianna thinks it's fixed but as soon as I get confirmation, I will post here. In the mean time, you can import wth RGB and then color correct if you have to.
Let me get with Marianna 'cause if this is fixed, maybe I can ask real nicely for them to post the fixed codecs....
