Problems with shared user settings file

    Hi

I have a very often warning window when I start Avid appears:

Unable to read shared user settings file. Make sure directory exists and is accesible.

I'm using Avid Xpress Pro and Newscutter connected to Avid Lanshare with Avid Unity.

    Somebody can help me?

    Thanks

    Luis

Re: Problems with shared user settings file

Have you exported your user profile to an external location? If so, did you choose "Personal" or "Group" in the export dialog box?

You edit system is trying to sync your *local* user profile with the external copy, but can't find it. This may be because the file path has changed (for example, because you've mounted workspaces in a different order) or because the file path is gone (for example, because you exported your user profile to a USB key, which is in your pocket now).

In the future, use Group as your export setting, and the edit system won't try to resync automatically.
