I just bought a new HP notebook from Costco (best place in the world!) and I tried to install it and it says that it is "not a working OS"  Is there a way around it or am i missing something here!  Please help!!!!

That's 'cause that notebook came with Vista and the Avid software is not yet qualified to run on it.

If you want to run Avid you will need to swap Vista for XP.

I assume You got Vista Enterprise as an OEM with the new computer.

You can use Your old XP-cd an install it on the new computer legaly.

Moderators: maybe we would clear the facts about the downgrade licensing of Vista OEM and put it as a sticker or on a FAQ with the title: I got Vista with my new system. How can I use Avid? or something like that.
