Hi all,

Could you please to show me the way to install Interplay Engine and Index Engine in the same SR2400 ?

I had tried but can not start service although I can login on Interplay engine and start service!!!

1, this is NOT a recomended practice.  Indexers should be on separate servers

2. What service doesn't start,  the indexer or the engine?

AFAIK, you can install Engine and Indexer to the same machine in small factory (10 or less editing stations), and it should work fine. In my facility I have Engine with Indexer running on SR 2400 plus separated Indexer on SR 2400 too. Both in the HAG.

If you want it, yo can install the Interplay Engine first, and then, the Media Indexer, both can run on the same server. As it was said before, this is intented for really small sites only.

I had finished install, It is well now.

By the way, I have another system, Media engine and Media Index in diffrence SR2400. But It had virus and I recoveried it (recover both Media Engine and Media Index by CD supported by Avid).

Had I install SLQ or not in Media Engine?

By Media Engine do you mean Unity 5?

Hi Ngocduc: SQL is not neccesary to be installed either on Interplay Engine (that's the correct name) or the Media Indexer. AFter doing the reimage, please remove the IIS from both servers.
