    Upgrade to 5.8 CPU issues

     Hello,

I upgraded to 5,8 Avid xpress Pro.  When I launch the application my CPU useage skyrockets to 100% useage and says there untill I kill the application.  My previous version did not do this.  Any ideas?

    Hi,

Hard to say without knowing anything about the system you're using.  Tell us your system specifications and we can start trying to figure out what's wrong.

    good luck,

This may be your problem - Avid is not compatible with ATI graphics cards. Even though it was working before, you should try one of the recommended nVidia cards. If this doesn't fix it, at least you'll have a certified card for the future!

    Hope this helps.
