I have set up several virtual drives. Is there a way to make the .bat file run automatically on system startup?
Drag and drop it to "C:\Documents and Settings\Logonusermname\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Avid Dir.bat" where you change Logonusermname to your Windows user name
I'm unclear on the "Avid Dir.bat" part. The name of the file is VirtualDrive.bat... there is no file or folder in Startup called Avid Dir.bat. Do I need to create a folder with this name and put the virtualdrive.bat file inside it? Or rename the VirtualDrive.bat?
I use a free program called mount vd. It's pretty simple and works for my purposes. Just google Mount VD.

"Avid Dir.bat" is just my batch file name.. Just drop your VirtualDrive.bat into the startup folder. (use C:\Documents and Settings\Logonusermname\Start Menu\Programs\Startup)
EDIT: Andrew beat me to it. I think it's because he's in New Zealand, and it's tomorrow there--so he's reading these posts a day before I am!

Avid Dir.bat is just the name that poster gave their VirtualDrive.bat file. Put your file (no reason to rename it) in the StartUp folder and everytime you start Windows it will run it.
