And I just upgraded to MC Soft from XPro a couple of months back. [:'(]

The good news is, now I can afford another licence for the director to look and review dailies on a laptop.

    Re: RIP Xpress Pro

So what will this mean for 720p25 support?  Are they going to offer it on MC,  and then I  have to pay for an upgrade to MC so that I can get it?

And how come there is no announcement on the website about this pretty major development?

    Re: RIP Xpress Pro

The Media Composer interface is identical--you have more effects and more information available to you (Center Duration), plus keyframeable timewarps and more resolutions.  Xpress Pro is literally Media Composer with features removed.  Everything else is almost identical.
