The task is to start transfer from Unty using Assist window to the external FTP server. We have Interplay 1.1.6 with Transfer Engine with DHM option installed. I have read the InterplayTransfer_SetupUG.pdf, but I still do not have a success. think I miss some important point setting up my transfer engine. Does anybody can help me?
What I have done for now: under button "Configure FTP parameters" I make new ftp device (new, becouse I have working ftp client for ingest to the unity - FlipFactory). Next, I add Playback device with parameters - tm:5534/telestreamplayback (where tm - host name of my Tm server, 6534 - port, telestreamplayback - the name of target FTP server). I check does Tm mashine can see FTP via telnet - yes, it is work. I need help how to set up Interplay to have possibility to transfer sequence from Assist window.

 I didn't experienced with Assist, but I did with MCS.

 

First, please check 'Transfer' setting in Assist. In case of MCS, 'Transfer' setting is needed.

Second, 'telestreamplayback' of 'tm:5534/telestreamplayback' is not the name of target FTP server.

That is the profile name containing setting of FTP server. 

If you don't have success in spite of trying above, you can try removeing port number from 'tm:5534/telestreamplayback' .  

 

If you can't solve your TM problem yet, I hope my experience is helpful to you.

 

 Can you send from an edit client successfully?

For Assist, you'll need to look into your Transfer/Media Services settings in Interplay. Also, check out the permissions on your Assist users. Sending to playback is something that can be enabled and disabled in Interplay User management.

First - thanks for all who tryes to help me. I talk about this problem with Dirk Harder from Berlin office, he look in to the settings of TM that I made and find this correct, exept one moment: in the field, where you should set up a profile of ftp server I check a field with parameters of vide format (for example, DVC PRo 4.2.2), but he recommend to leave this field empty. After this correction TM server starts to send mediafiles to external ftp.
