    no input signal message

I am working on an AVID Meridian Express with a PCI extender board box

my monitor suddenly is not displaying my desktop, and displays the messaje
    "no input signal" instead.

    Question 1
    Why is this happening suddenly?

the computer seems to be booting up fine,
    I have tested the monitor
    and the cables as well.
I tried re-seating the board and now am thinking of plugging it on a free slot.

    Question 2
    Is this okay to do?

i want to know before I re-plug everything as I dont want to damage the board.

    Question 3
Is there a simple way to test a faulty board?

    Re: no input signal message

This sounds like the display card has gone bad. First try to reseat it. If that doesn't work, you'll need to get a new one to see if the first one is dead.

Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?
