    Great News for Avid Codecs!

    The latest and greatest QuickTime codec’s have been posted on the new Avid Knowledge Base. In this new set, you will find the DNxHD QuickTime codec which now supports alpha channel export from a third party application such as Adobe After Effects. 

    You can get the new Codecs here:


    Engineering also had the below KB page changed stating that the DNxHD QuickTime codec supports alpha:

     ...Are these latest codecs also included in MC 2.8.3 or are these even newer or in addition to what is already included in the latest MC releases ?

    Upgraded to Media Composer from Avid Xpress Pro and now at MC 3.0. Also added Avid Studio Toolkit 5.7 running on.....HP Compaq nw 9440 Laptop PC w/2 x... [view my complete system specs]

    The thing is don't peak too early in life. Currently at MC 3.0
