I'm running Avid Express DV ver 4.8 on a Windows XP platform. I'm cirrently cutting a low budget feature film and have nine project windows with about eight bins in each.
Yesterday, for no apparent reason, my titles stopped appearing when I loaded them into the source window for editing. The titles have not gone off-line. I can still bring them up in the title tool by holding Control and clicking on a Title icon. But I whenever I try to load them into the source window to cut into the project, I get only black.
I've tried recreating and re-saving the titles but the same thing happens when I try to load them into the source window.
Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this strange phenomenon and how it might be fixed?
I'm based in Victoria, Australia. If necessary, I could meet up with a fellow Avid editor in Melbourne.
Thanks

Yes, render on the fly is still turned on. Any further suggestions?
David King.
Okay, problem solved! I went back to Render On The Fly - switched it off then switched it back on again and Bingo! It worked. Can now load titles into Source monitor and see them. I guess it was just one of those funny things that happen.
Thanks for the advice.
