"Hardware detected a host vsync error"

    Hi Everybody,

I'm getting the following error in the console.

"Hardware detected a host vsync error"

Does anyone know what this might be?
I'm running an Adrenaline with an HP 8200 MC2.7.5 XP
My picture is stuttering and tearing. This happens at random.
I tested the Adrenaline on another system and it works fine. I tested
the problem system with different projects on the Editshare and it
    shows the same problem.

    Does anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks for your help.

    Eric

    Hi Bauhaus,

    Hallo Ruurd,

I'm using the internal firewire on the HP xw8200. It has been working fine until now.

    Bedankt,

    Eric

Re: "Hardware detected a host vsync error"

I,ve had the same problem but in an Unity fibre channel environment (whit LP and EX Media array's) with diverent hp's. only the wx8200 has this problem. Avid suggested to connect the BOB to the internal FW and check the

    Avid® Adrenaline™ Configuration Guidelines for the HP® xw8200 Workstation

. When I'll find out more about it or hear anything from Avid I'll let you know.

For now you can try to work standalone, I found out when I consolidated a sequence to a local drive I was able to write it back to tape without any problems.

Check to see if the Ref light is lit on the front of the DNA box.  If it is not and you syncing the
DNA box with a black burst source, make sure you set the genlock to reference and not

Re: "Hardware detected a host vsync error"

    Thanks for the important information.

    - The ref light on my DNA-box is not lit.

    - I connected the refs of DNA and recorder to a G2-Evolution.

    - What do you mean by 'genlock'? Where can I set the genlock to reference? The setting Audio Project - Hardware - Sync mode - Internal cannot be changed.

Re: "Hardware detected a host vsync error"

Go to your video output tool and you'll see a button for sync lock  - choose reference and your DNA will lock to an external genlock reference signal.
