    AVID LIQUID 7.1 HELP

    Hi,

I am using Avid Liquid 7.1. I'm new to it as I've only been using Avid Xpress in the past.

I'm having a difficult time with the shortcuts and working in the timeline as I'm so used to Xpress.

I was wondering if someone could tell me:  I'd like to know how to lift something out. For example I have a scene in the middle that I just want to lift out leaving a blank space to fill later, but damn for the life of me I can not figure this out.  In Xpress the "Z" was used as the lift key... is this in Avid Liquid and I just can't find it?

Also is there a way to make working with Liquid a little more like Xpress, I know it's just a matter of getting used to Liquid, but don't have a lot of time, ugh.

    Thanks so much

    B. Rubin

Please go to the new forum. But to answer your question. Make sure you are in overwrite mode and the tracks are active in the track header then just razor blade the beginning and end of the part you want to delete, unless it is already a single clip, then just click on it to select it and hit the delete key on your keyboard.
