Do you know if doing this will wipe out the Boot Camp partition? If not, is there a way to do it that WOULD wipe out the Boot Camp partition?

Only a full erase and install will wipe out the Boot Camp partition.

Just wondering, when its released tomorrow where to we get the free upgrade from?  Should it just be on the main webpage?

The upgrade will be available on the Avid store site. Those who have a valid Avid assurance contract or who are eligible for a free upgrade will be able to download from the Avid download Center.

So I just requested an account for the download centre.  Says it will be at least 3 days, which sucks but I shall live..  But I also noticed that now it says for Media Composer V3.0 it only accepts nVidia Cards?  Even the new iMacs need to be special ordered if you want an nVidia card.  So does that mean that the standard ATI RadeonHD2600 won't work at all with Avid?  Just curious! My account confirmation came after several weeks - actually I had thought I had *** it up. Dunno if that is true with the nVidia, but I wouldn't be surprise at all. My latest version of Avid Xpress Pro 5.8 doesn't support remote control of my Canon XM1 camera. After installing AXP my ProTool LE / MBox didn't work at all because AXP had upgraded the MBox drivers to version 2. AXP did run on my Powerbook G4 but didn't support HDV, after buying a new MacBook Pro I found out it doesn't run under Leopard (neither does my ProTools of course) and it doesn't support the latest Quicktime and the upgrade to Media Composer was not available.. As recommended I bought a Win-XP-SP2-installer and tried to get AXP run on bootcamp, but it had major issues running with a second external monitor. All windows were jumping to the center of the screen spontaneously. All of them. All the time. Also the toslink sound output was dead. Finally I got back to AXP under Leopard on a third partition of my HD and it somehow worked. I dunno about capturing or dumping to tape, I had got my footage on a hard drive, but that worked fine over 8 days of editing.

The nVidia restriction applies to PCs only, not to Macs.
