If you look at my entry right before yours... you will see HVX200 listed.

____________ Anything 24fps
Right. Let's just wait for the next release. When? Hope soon enough.
I've been told 'next release' and 'we're working on it' so many times since September 2005 by Avid that it's just not funny. Seeing is believing.
By the time Avid finally release support for HDV1 at 25fps the format and cameras might even be obsolete and discontinued.
At least someone's finally seen the light and reduced MC to only twice the price of FCS.
MC with all the frame rates of FCS would be nice...and is well overdue.
That's right...an xw8000.
On April 1 Avid representatives will be able to disclose the date of the next release within that quarter, as far as I understand?
I think the most logical would be a release in the NAB timeframe
Lp, m.
Just few more days, then we'll know?
AS far as I know, no one connected with the next release knows anything about any announcement on April 1st.
Not that they are being secretive, it's just that I have been trying to verify your statement and no one I'm talking to expects anything to happen April 1st.
From personal experience, I would be shocked if they said anything about any release. They slip release dates all the time and it would be against character to announce one.
Maybe the "New" Avid does things differently though.

Well no announcement was announced, but on April 1st there is no legal reason anymore not to disclose the date of new MC release, if it is planned for the upcoming quarter.

Thank you, counsellor.

Objection!
amitzinman:Objection!
Objection noted. Let's move it along, shall we? I'd like to get out of here before lunch.
So, people, it's a brand new Q here in European time.
Great news will soon dawn upon us.
Avid MC will support more formats than FCS. You'll be able to mix any format with any format on the new open timeline. It will work on Panther and Vista 64-bit SP1 on any Vista approved hardware. There will be a special discount for JVC HD101 PAL users.
Oh wait. This is happpening only in NLE fantasyland. Here we wait and wait.
