    Problem Importing Quicktime movie

    I'm using Aivd Media Composer Meridien v12.0, i have problem importing quicktime movie into avid, the movie turn yellowish, when import to avid,  i rendered the quicktime movie from AE v7.0, using animation compressor . I don have this problem before, but after i had added two new avid harddisks, the problem appear.There is no problem when i imported the same movie into Avid Adrenaline. Does anyone have the same problem, and the solutions, pls help...Thank u Confused

    In addition to my post on MC/MCA forum, I can remember, I also had this issue on my own Xpress DV 3.0. (Win2k)

    Sorry for the extremely late reply, just wanted to add that that I had similar experiences, where the blue channel of a clip would not get imported at all from a QT, in MC12. As far as I could tell, it happened whenever the settings for square pixels / non-square pixels were mismatched. No solution that to use other export methods from the source, prior to MC import.

    I had a similar thing happen on my Adrenaline system last week, though it wasn't so much a yellow cast.  On import, the white background became a very vibrant and rich yellow!

    It was a Quicktime that'd been exported with an Avid codec... Can't remember which.  But anyway, I got round the problem by telling the Avid to re-compress it at another ratio.

    Not ideal, but it sorted the problem.
