My past interface, my current interface and my dream interface

So here is the interface I used to have in XPress 4.8.4. Neutral, but classy I think.

And here is the interface I have in Media Composer, still neutral, but the mix of Aqua window and Avid Siver isn't too fantastic...

And that's what I would love to have... Classy in Aqua land!
Made with Photoshop, using the window bars from the "ProApps", aka FCP, DVDStudioPro, etc. That shouldn't be too complicated?

Oups, I forgot to mention that the machine I use is a 17"PowerBook.

You're aware that you can set your OSX Interface Apperance to "Graphite", to remove all the Aqua coloured buttons, right?   So then the only conflict is the shades of silver/gray that don't match.  It's not a full solution as to your dream image, but might get you a tiny bit closer.

    best wishes

Yes I tried it some time ago, nice but as you say: the shade of greys are still way away and those window bars are still plain thick.

    Saturday, and it's raining

What else could I do on a saturday afternoon... A bit of googling and I found where the WindowBar lives. So I launched Photoshop and changed the whole interface. Next step is to make the window bar thiner, but tomorrow should be sunny, so that will be for later! ;-)

It's getting there... Thanks to Leopard, the next OSX version, I won't have to use my hack since the windows seem to have the right bar at their top:
