Cannot set remote hosts preference, keep it in cache.

Can anyone throw light on this error? We have a couple of recent iMacs (not iMac Pro) which are on our university network - last year we could connect to our ISIS 5000 network using the Remote Host option but this year, after IT reinstalled anything, no good. Oddly, my MacBook Pro and a roving test iMac work fine when connected to the same sockets. Mac OS 10.14.6 with Nexis Client Manager 7.5. ISIS 5000 4.7.11.16275. Looking at the wording of the error (which is acccompanied by 'Failed to retrieve System Director List with error: Unable to complete operation. Internal Error.' I wonder if there is a disk permissions issue? IT nail down these systems! Thanks.

I would encourage you to update the latest version of the NEXIS Client. OS 10.12.2 the highest OS the NEXIS 7.5 Client is supported with.
Do you have the firewall on or antivirus software installed?

I think our Mac guy just updated the client (I will check). The odd thing is that every summer we set up a test iMac at our university and test everything before rolling everything out at the beginning of term, to the student systems. Our test machine works fine in the same location as the two that don't connect so it might be something to do with the way the applications are packaged and remotely installed.

OK - our Mac specialist fixed this - not sure exactly how but something to do with security issues with Mojave. I can get the full info if that would be helpful. Due to the number of workstations we have, the applications are packaged and remotely installed, rather than having some hard-pressed person sitting and installing in the normal way on dozens of Macs - this may have affected the outcome.
