    Cannot retrieve Form NSML using CTMS

    I am currently working with 2019.6 (build 7.4.0.59) and trying to retrieve a story form. If I use the following link:

    https://cloud11/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=INEWS7/system/forms/S-PYC-ONC

    Then I am able to retrive the details for the form including a reference to the expected ia:form-nsml link.

    However when I use that link:

    https://cloud11/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=INEWS7/system/forms/S-PYC-ONC/nsml

    then the client returns with "avid.inews/not found"

    The CTMS log shows the incoming requests:

    There is no indication of any issue in the iNEWS log.

    I have now resolved this as it is a manifestation of a potentially more serious issue. The root cause were missing lists that were referenced by the form. This also prevents a queue from listing in the MC|UX rundown pane but does not affect the desktop client.

    Hi Michael,

    I have different result in my LAB if I got issue description correctly

    So I have created empty queue in SYSTEM.FORMS.I.INEWS

    and if I GET 

    https://172.22.202.88/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=RH75/system/forms/INEWS

    or 

    https://172.22.202.88/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=RH75/system/forms/INEWS/nsml

    then the response is the same because the queue is empty, this is by design

    { "code": "avid.inews/not_found", "params": {}, "message": "Resource not found", "incident": "9942bba0-a06c-4b5d-bc30-4dc95a6b85c3", "exchange": "6110ce81-bcd8-11e9-b4c4-d287b2cf97f6", "status": 404 } But at the same time, this queue is listed in the response from GET of https://172.22.202.88/apis/avid.inews;version=0;realm=RH75/system/forms So it is displayed in MC|UX client in the App Browse pane in iNEWS directory structure Do you have another behavior?     Hi Olena,

    Thanks for your response.

    My issue was not quite the same:

    • The form IS present
    • The form has some COMBOBOX cells which are populated by Lists
    • The Lists were missing

    I realised this when I logged in with the iNEWS desktop client and got a series of console messages warning about the missing lists.

    After restoring the lists all problems went away.
