    reset password on Videoraid sr?

Using a avid Videoraid SR 24TB/2 volumes raid 5, I had one drive go bad so I was going to pop it out but accidentally popped out the wrong drive. Put it back in but this took the entire volume offline.
No help from Avid since it's end of life.
Anyone have any ideas how to get the one drive or the volume back online so I can replace the bad drive?
Also does anyone know how to reset the login and password thru network login?

    Jeff

Re: reset password on Videoraid sr?

    Hi Jeff

I use to handle drives a while back so the onloy thing I can think of is the device manager is not seeing the host.

First I would trun off the RAID and the Host.  Then turn it back on again and see if the outcome changes.

It may be necessary to force Device Manager to see it. To do that, use the automap command in the Avid Configuration Tool.

    1. Connect the raid to the host CPU
    2. Power on the RAID
    3. Wait for the blue drive LEDs to all be lit, then power on the host CPU.
    4. Launch the Avid Configuration Tool
    5. Enter the following command in the console: automap
    6. Hit Enter
    7. Type SaveConfiguration
    8. Hit Enter

    from the KB

You will need to restore the Controller back to factory default, load the Controller script back to the Controller and restart the chassis. This is how it's done:

    1. Log into configuration menu trough Ethernet with IE on 10.0.0.2
    2. User: "administrator", Password: "password".
    3. Open Administrative Tools in the left part of the window.
    4. Click Restore Factory Defaults and check Controller Settings and Submit.
    5. Write CONFIRM when asked and click OK.
    6. Now you will need to load the controller script attached below.
    7. Open Administrative Tools - Software Management.
    8. Choose the Import folder.
    9. Change Type to Configuration Script and browse for the Controller configuration script and then Submit.
    10. Now you need to restart the chassis by going to Administrative Tools - Shutdown.
