    Deko: Shortening Animated Title

    Hey everyone,

I hope this is the right forum (or at least not the worst one) for a Deko question. I know this product is EOL, but alas, we still use it for some specific use cases.

So I built some animated title templates in Postdeko. They need to line up with some lower third backgrounds that were provided by our graphics department (they run a a normal video layer in Media Composer below the Deko title).

The titles animate in and out (Motion animation on X/Y-axis, animation length set to length of title, keyframes for start and end animation), but stay static in the middle. Now when we need to shorten titles with In/Out animations, usually we cut out the middle part – that doesn't seem to work with Deko, because the animation restarts with the second segment.

Do any of you have an idea on how to build a Deko Title with In/Out Animation where the animations are fixed in length but the title as a whole is flexible in length? Or can you point me in the right direction? Or does anyone know somebody who really knows something about Deko? And yes, I'm desperate.

    Thanks everyone,
