Converting Old QuickTimes Exported as 'Same As Source'

I have several QuickTime's that were exported from a very old version of MC using the native 2:1 compression (Exported as Same as Source). Trouble is, they will not load into any editing software and I can't convert them using Media Encoder or Compressor. The only option is to open them in QuickTime and save them (which creates an h264 version). Using this method also removed interlacing.

Any thoughts or tips on what I can use to convert them? Are there old Codecs available? I'm completely stumped.

    Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried HandBrake?

Thank you for the quick response. I tried it just now and it works. However, it only converts to a compressed format. Was hoping to be able to transfer them in a lossless format.

Although Media Encoder dropped QT Ref support in ver 2018, ver 2017 still supports it. Might be worth a try as you can have older versions installed together with the latest one.
